It is permissible to perform Umrah on behalf of a dear one who is healthy and/or without any illness, through students of knowledge, trustworthy people, known for their honesty and good conduct. It was narrated from Imam Ahmad in one of the narrations that he said that it is permissible to delegate Umrah, Hajj and voluntary Hajj to those who are able and those who are not able, based on the generality of what was narrated that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, heard a man say: “Labbaik on behalf of Shubramah,” and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not ask about Shubramah’s condition, whether he was able or not.
