On the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: There are seven things for which the servant will continue to receive reward after his death, even if he is in his grave: whoever taught knowledge, dug a canal, dug a well, planted a palm tree, built a mosque, left a copy of the Qur’an in his legacy, or left a child who seeks forgiveness for him after his death.

African Muslims are keen to memorize and study the Book of God, but unfortunately, due to the small number of copies of the Qur’an, they circulate them so that a Muslim obtains a copy of the Qur’an one day every month, in addition to the challenges of poverty, exploitation, and Christianization campaigns.
